Craigslist Marketing

Are you taking advantage of the powerful — and free — capabilities of Craigslist marketing? You can place classified ads in a variety of sections to generate interest and then direct interested prospects to your website from there.

One sad mistake I see many people making is that they don’t make their website addresses or their images ‘clickable’. Or their images are clickable, but the clicks send the prospects to the image hosting sites rather than to the marketer’s website. I think that is a real stumbling block in the marketing process.

What I mean by that, is when a prospect hovers their mouse over an image and clicks, it’s often good marketing to send them to some destination. That’s especially true in Craigslist ads where you really should not try to sell anything — I think you should just try to generate interest and work on getting your interested prospects to your website via clickable weblinks and graphics.
